Data Scientist

TechSource, Inc. in Sacramento, CA is seeking Data Scientists to provide ongoing analysis, insights and recommendations to various teams utilizing data, research and best practices from websites and mobile sites. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of Mathematical modeling and data analytics, as well as experience with SQL queries, to perform the duties of the position.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

Create automated and recurring reports and dashboards leveraging several different digital data sets to communicate the performance and benchmarking of digital properties.

Create ad hoc reports and analysis as required in a timely manner.

Advise on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for different web and mobile properties and efforts in order to measure impact and objectives.

This position does not supervise any other personnel.

REQUIREMENTS:

The normal minimum requirements for the offered position are as follows: Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Technology or any related IT field of study providing the required knowledge and abilities, plus at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) involving data science or data analytics.

Qualified applicants must also have at least one (1) year of experience working with the following:

1. Developing and writing SQL queries.

2. Big Data environment and/or experience with disparate data sets.

3. Data Visualization.

No travel; no telecommuting. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of each project.
